As a key project in Chengdu's initiative to establish itself as a world-class host city for sporting events, the Dong'an Lake Sports Center's "one main stadium with three supporting venues" was designed by German architectural firm GMP in strict accordance with international competition standards. This architectural complex integrates cutting-edge technology, intelligent systems, eco-friendly features and contemporary aesthetics.

The main stadium covers approximately 120,000 square meters with an additional 36,000 square meters of outdoor ramp landscape area. This 40,000-seat premium stadium hosted the Universiade's opening and closing ceremonies, and can be converted for international competitions in athletics and football post-event. The stadium's UFO-like structure appears to float above Dong'an Lake, crowned with a Sunbird motif that blends ancient Shu culture with modern technology, symbolizing the harmonious fusion of history and future.

Done Power served as the LED driver for the venue's landscape lighting system.
