As night falls, the city's roads take on a radiant glow under the streetlights. However, residents of Jilin City have long been troubled by the inadequate lighting along Songjiang Zhongxi Road. To address this, the local government has launched a comprehensive streetlight renovation project across the entire stretch, aiming to dramatically improve lighting quality.

The upgrade project involved the progressive replacement of streetlights and railing lights along Songjiang Middle Road and Songjiang West Road. A total of 274 existing streetlight poles were upgraded to 212 high-efficiency nine-lamp LED Chinese-style luminaires, while 518 original two-lamp bridge railing lights were replaced with 332 five-lamp high-efficiency LED fixtures.
